Only $503 or 2.7% equity growth in October. This is after over a month of sitting on a position. Anyway, we learned not to introduce new strategies prematurely and we are moving on to the next month!

Finally out!

October 28, 2011
Finally we got out of our unfortunate position, with a profit of $456.50. We tested a new strategy on our live account and we got our teeth kicked-in. We were stuck in a position for over a month(!) That will teach us.
Anyway, we are out and we are proceeding with a cash preservation strategy until the end of the year, while the R&D process continues for 2012.

As you can see our equity curve is flat like a panecake, i.e. we have not made any money in September. In fact while testing new strategy for 2012 we got stuck in a trade, which is not reflected on the Equity Curve(?) I must review the source code of the Equity Growth indicator to show open positions... when I get to it.

Moving on to New Strategy

Last week we had only one trade and we made mere $57, but we had largely a sideways market, which is notoriously difficult to trade.
Also, we are moving on to a new strategy we are developing for 2012. Watch this space.

In August 2011 we made a profit of $1,164.20 or 6.7% equity growth [see chart below].  It is a respectable performance and we are very excited that our equity growth stands at 47.5% [year to date], which is higher than our 2010 [full-year] result.
